Art in The Garden at Painswick Rococo Garden
In 2013 Art in The Garden at the Rococo Garden was cancelled. This was due to a television contract extending into the exhibition period which proved unacceptable to artists and sponsors. There was therefore no option but to cancel the planned exhibition. Moving forward, the founding curator and creative core of individuals have set up independently.
Prior to the exhibition being cancelled in 2013 the vision was to embrace digital media, world cinema and pop-up craft shops and offer corporate entertainment options. Also, the aim was to establish a significant on-line presence with the ability to deliver interactive online catalogues, preview guides and administration for events such as the Private View and Guided Tours. These ideas will continue to be developed in new locations which we believe will offer greater potential and creative stimulation..
The exhibition started life as the idea of Paul Hervey-Brookes, who by bringing together a group of passionate individuals, well respected artists and New Brewery Arts, was able to ensure the exhibition went from strength to strength. Exploring creative ideas and giving artists licence to push their own boundaries and thought processes. To date, we have many associations with leading active artists and accumulated an audience of well over 7000 people a year.
